Salmon and sturgeon fishing have been excellent the past few weeks and should continue to produce great results through the rest of September and October. Good number of Pink Salmon, Chinook Salmon and Sturgeon are being caught daily, please see below for detailed report.

Fraser River Salmon

Salmon fishing has been excellent this past week, good numbers of red and white meat Chinook are migrating up the Fraser River heading for Harrison and upstream to the Thompson. Most of our guides have been bar fishing using green cap/chrome spin n glo’s with spreader bar . We also use Gibbs Tee Spoons this time of year in chrome and green blades. The Chinook Fishery should last well into October when the Coho and Chum begin to enter as well. This should be a great Fall salmon fishery for those who like to Bar fish or cast spoons and spinners on the mainstem Fraser

Another great example of the salmon we are catching on the bar rods, we are also fishing Pink salmon on the fly and light spin tackle, best lures have been the Gibbs Croc and Gibbs Ultra Lure in Pink and Cherise.

Once the Coho start showing switch to the Gibbs Hammered Brass Red Fire Stripe Croc or Colorado Spinner Blade for best results.

Sturgeon Fishing

Sturgeon fishing has been nothing short of spectacular, lots of big fish being caught by all of our guests on a daily basis. Best bait has been salmon parts such as eggs, belly strips and salmon heads. The Mission area all the way to the Fraser canyon is producing some amazing fishing. Now through until November is the best time to experience this fishery.

This is a great example of how to handle a white sturgeon for a picture, great job ladies.

Here is another great example of sturgeon handling, not always easy task but taking your time and allowing the fish to lay suspended in the water really helps the sturgeon recover quickly and swim away in great condition.

Many fish of this size and larger are being caught daily by our team of professional guides.
