Couple nice fish

Fishing for large fish continues to be excellent. As you can see by the pictures below, we are catching some nice fish. Today we found a bunch of Coho using spinners and even managed to land a couple chum on float rods. Plunking with Tee Spoons and spin n glo’s is also producing some nice Coho and the odd Chinook in both the Fraser and Harrison Rivers.

Over the next few days we should see some larger pushes of Coho, Chum and Harrison Chinook enter the Fraser, fishing tributary confluences is going to be the best bet.

The Vedder should also start producing some nice Coho.

Our friends from the UK are now on the Island enjoyed some bear watching, here are a couple nice fish before they left.

Great day sturgeon fishing in the Mission area. Our 28ft twin has plenty of room for battling the big one and enjoying a relaxing afternoon on the water.

Nice Job boys.Hope you see a Grizzly.

This monster sturgeon was hooked only minutes from our dock, it put up a great battle lasting over 30 minutes. Mission is labeled Sturgeon Capital of the World for good reason, the fall season is without a doubt the best time to fish for monster sturgeon.

Come join us while fishing is great.

Oct 4 fishing report

Wow, what a week for big Sturgeon. On Oct 2, our guided landed a total of 7 fish over 7ft with 2 fish over 8ft, what a day. Pink Salmon are slowing down but Coho are starting to show so over the next week we should see a complete transition to Chum, Chinook and Coho fishing. See below for detailed report.

Danny and the Boys visiting from the UK, this fish measured 8ft 4inches

Sturgeon Fishing Report

Sturgeon fishing has been good to excellent, bites are starting to get softer so anglers need to pay close attention to those rods. Tides have made a big difference in success so you want to be in the right place when these fish begin to feed. Best bait has been Salmon eggs, Salmon flesh and fresh salmon meat.

Here is another fish over 8ft landed by guests Roy Stoddard and Son, nice job guys. This was one of two fish over 8ft landed by this group.

Sturgeon fishing will continue into mid to late November, this season has been excellent with lots of big fish in the river. Over the last few weeks we have hooked several fish that are well over 10ft but we just havn’t got lucky enough to land them. I would expect that one of our lucky guests over the next few weeks will catch that trophy fish and finish the job. Good luck.

Another fish over 8ft, nice job Rob.

Fraser Salmon

Although there are still fresh Pink Salmon moving into the river, it is time to switch over to Coho, Chum & Chinook Salmon. All the rain has made fishing the main stem Fraser Impossible but fishing tributary river such as the Vedder and Harrison has been good. Coho Salmon are beginning to move through the Vedder /Chilliwack System, you can fish the upper river by shore of confluence by boat. Casting spinners and Spoons is best, Colorado blades or Gibbs Crocs are producing best resluts.

Bar fishing for Chinook will be slow over the next week as water conditions are still not clear enough, if your wanting to fish for these Harrison Brutes, your best bet is to fish the confluence of the Harrison or above the Hwy Bridge.

Harrison River

Fishing has been fair for Sturgeon and salmon, lots of Pinks but they are getting a bit far along in their spawning, Coho are getting caught at the confluence as well as the odd Chinook.

Casting Spoons or fly fishing is your best bet. Again Gibbs Crocs or Ultra Lures for spin casting, float fish with Colorado blades or fly fishing with flash flys or rolled muddlers work best.

Over the next 6 weeks we will have some of our best fishing of the season, we still have some great dates available for last two weeks in October and first week in November.

Come join us for our last kick a the 2011 fishing season.

Tight lines and conserve your catch.

Thank you for an amazing vacation

Hi Vic, hi Teresa,

I wanted to thank you again for a very special week that Thomas and myself were able to spend with you and your amazing guides.

Your professionally organized trips, from boats to tackle to lunch to …, the superb guides, especially Tom (greetings!),
all this combined with the dedication and "fever" that you and the crew have … it couldn´t get better.

It was so good to see that you and for example Tom still have so much fun in your "job".
I just think of the sparkles in your eyes when you used your new anchor winch, Vic 😉

I enclosed a few pictures, I am especially proud of the one "half-circle-jumping" pink.

Please don´t forget my sincere invitation to our house if you consider snow skiing in the Alps
(whether Germany or Austria; i wouldn´t recommend Switzerland, that is just extremely expensive)

Best wishes
