Oct 21 Fishing Update

Fraser River Update

Fishing continues to be excellent for both salmon and sturgeon, the Suncor group in from Fort Mac are having a great trip, yesterday one of the groups fishing with Vic landed a 9ft 3 inch sturgeon that measured a 49inch girth. Wow what a fat fish, estimated weight is about 400lb.

Here is another shot including tail

Sturgeon fishing is definitely on fire, most groups are hooking into big fish with quite a few fish over 7ft being landed this week. This great Sturgeon fishing should continue through until mid to late November so come join us for some of the best fishing of the year.

Gary Devison of Suncor with his two sons landed this 7ft sturgeon yesterday while fishing with Doug.

Chum and Coho fishing continues to be good, although some rivers are blown out, Harrison and Stave are still fishing well. Some Coho stacked below hwy bridge, best fishing is at incoming tide. Casting spoons and spinners has been best.

Fishing great so get out and enjoy the last 30 days of the season.

Oct 17 Fishing Update

Fishing continues to be very good in the valley, both salmon and sturgeon fishing is excellent. The Fraser, Vedder, Harrison, Stave and other tributaries are all producing good fishing.

This fish measured 9ft exactly to the fork, Thomas’s largest fish of the year, great job guys.

Fraser River

Sturgeon fishing continues to be excellent throughout the Fraser, lots of big fish being caught both above and below Mission. Water clarity is about 6 inches and clearing each day. Local bars are fishing well for Coho and Chum using bar fishing methods or casting spoons and spinners. Fly fishing should improve over the next week as water conditions continue to clear.

Here is another big fish caught by the same group, this fish measured just over 7ft but wow was he fat. Great job Neil and group, hope your arms recover soon.

Harrison Salmon

The Harrison River has been fishign wello for Coho, Chum and Chinook. Most of our guides have been targeting Chinook and Coho but some great Chum fishing is also available. Pulling plugs for Chinook has worked well, fly fishing for Coho and float fishing jigs for Chum. Water conditions are perfect right now.

This fish was caught using a quick fish plug

Vedder River

Lots of fish in the Vedder, water conditions are excellent throughout the river. There is fish spread throughout the river so spread out and enjoy the fishing. No need to all stand in one place elbow to elbow, it’s much more enjoyable when you have some space. Oh and leave the bb gear at home, time to fish proper.

We still ahve some space available for next week, give us a call or e-mail if you would liek to get out.

Some more pics form this week.

Oct 12 Fishing Report

Wow, what a great week of fishing sturgeon and salmon fishing. The past 3 days have been exceptional throughout Fraser and larger tributaries.

Our guests from Germany are leaving in the morning with big smiles, bruised groins and sore arms. Today we landed our largest fish measuring 7 ft 10 inch but over the week many fish between 6ft 6 and 7ft 5 were caught.

This fish measured 7ft 9 inches to the fork, estimated weight 200lb

Our friend Ralf who helped host our group of Germans took some amazing pictures each day, I thought I would share some of them with you.

Nice Chris

Guides will do just about anything if they think it will bring them some extra luck..

What a beautiful day to be on the water.

Nice fish Thomas
