Spring has finally arrived so lots of activities going on right now, The BC Boat & Sportsman Show has ended for another season but for those of you looking for something a bit different there is a Rod & Gun Show taking place at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds on April 17,18,19. The format is quite different than the BC boat & Sportsman Show, one of the buildings will be vendors with the other will being a large swap meet for rod and guns. Spring Fishing for salmon,steelhead and sturgeon have all been better than average, the Vedder has been producing some nice steelhead over the past few weeks and should continue through until end of April when river will close to gear fishing. The month of May is fly only but with early freshet the water might be too high for shore fishing. Vancouver Salmon fishing has been spotty but will begin to improve over the next month.

Sturgeon fishing has been excellent this past week, lots of fish in the 3 to 5 foot range with the occasional fish over 6ft. Word from the lower river near Steveston is that the Eulachons are starting to enter the river. The spring migration of Eulachon is what sturgeon have been waiting for all winter so over the next few weeks it really should start to heat up. Best baits will be Eulachon and Lamprey eel.

We currently have a Spring Sturgeon Special available to those anglers who would like to take advantage of the early season, $600 for 4 anglers for 6 hours, $750 for 4 anglers for 8 hours, this is $100 savings. We supply guide, boat and all fishing tackle on all charters. We also offer overnight packages and private lodge for larger groups.

Spring is an excellent time to fish for sturgeon near Mission, our boat depart from Mission Harbour daily from April 1 to Nov 15.
