Congrats to Guest Dennis Wolski of Devan Alberta and STS Guide Doug Elias who just landed a 9ft sturgeon near Mission. It’s hard to believe how many big fish are being caught this year. Great job guys, looks like Doug is the man to beat.

It’s quite amazing how many big fish are out theres this season, might be the best season ever for fish over 7ft. These fish are fat and very healthy and are kicking but on the battles. This great fishing should continue through until mid to late November.

Coho Fishing is picking up both on the ocean and in the river, we are catching Coho daily in both areas. In the river we are using Colorado blades and Gibbs Spoons, in the ocean we are trolling with Anchovie, hoochies and spoons. Lots of Coho staging at the mouth of the Fraser so the next two weeks should be excellent fishing. I hear the numbers are big so get ready for some great Coho fishing.

Over the next 3 to 5 weeks we should see some of the best fishing of the season, the Chum are starting to pour in, lots of Coho and the sturgeon fishing has been amazing. Day after day we are landing large fish both in Mission and Canyon.

2014 STS will be celebrating our 20th year in business, we are super stoked for what lies ahead and really appreciate all of our guests who continue to support what we do. As you know we have one of the hardest working team of guides on the river and next season will be no exception. I know if is still early but our West Coast Charters are beginning to fill up. If you are looking for some great Salmon and Halibut fishing for next season, we are now booking for July 2014.
