Oct 30 Fishing Report

A quick look at this weeks fishing success

Salmon fishing for Coho continues to be good, we are working for fish but that is what Coho fishing is about. Walking the beach of the Fraser casting spoons and spinners is proving to be very successful, on Tuesday we hooked 8 coho, landed 4 hatchery fish and a couple nice Chum salmon were released. Yesterday we only fished a few hours for Coho and managed 2 more hatchery fish. Although fishing is not on fire, those anglers willing to put in the time are being rewarded with some great quality fish.

Casting spoons has been the ticket, Gibbs Croc, 3/8 hammered brass or silver/ Red Fire Stripe.

Sturgeon fishing has been a bit slower, we are working hard for every fish but still averaging 6 to 10 per trip. On Thursday we had the management staff from Mission Springs out and we landed a beautiful 96 inch monster, still waiting for the pictures but i will post as soon as I have them.

Here is a trophy Chinook caught on the fly last week, wow what a great fish. Great job guys.
