Feb 15 fishing report update

We are getting very close to the start of our Spring Sturgeon Fishery which always produces some great fish and steady action on the rods. Traditionally the Fraser River Sturgeon fishery really gets going around 3rd or 4th week in March and continues through until high water which is usually around middle or end of May. This year will be no exception, we are expecting a decent run of Eulachon in the river so should be plenty of feed for our prehistoric friends.

Spring Sturgeon Special & Red Deer Sportsman Show.

We will once again offer some great early season rates for our Tradeshow Booking Season. You can book on-line , call us or come down to a show and visit our booth. We will be attending a few shows in the US this year, we will post dates and locations when we get a bit closer. Our first show is only a few weeks away in Red Deer Alberta. If you live in the area, please drop down and say hello, we would love to see you.

Spring Day Trip Special – Book any 6 or 8 hour charter for 2 people and bring another 2 people for FREE

For package special rates, please call or e-mail us.

Vedder River Steelhead season has been fair to good, many anglers go without a hit all day then you talk to someone and they caught 3. I guess it boils down to being at the right place at the right time. Water condition vary day to day but currently water is in great shape with a few fish being caught throughout the river. STS Guide Braeden Szlabon has been out on the water with some limited success. Braeden reports inconsistent fishing but when you find them, the battles have been great. Yesterday a 20 lb steelhead was weighed in a Freds Tackle which is the biggest steelhead weighed in so far this season.

Salmon Fishing in Vancouver area, lots of feeder springs around the Harbour with most anglers getting 2 to 6 hits per trip. Standard set up for most guides and anglers is a Flasher/Spoon trolled behind your boat attached to a Scotty downrigger. We only use Gibbs/Delta products while on the open water as they have proven time and time again to produce consistent results. Our favorite is the Guide Series Flasher with G-Force or Silber Horde Coho Killer.

Gearing up for our summer west coast salmon and halibut fishery, we are now booking for July and August staying in our private lodge located in Quatsino Sound.

Please call or e-mail me for more details.
